Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas
and
wishing you a wonderful, relaxing time with your loved ones.
Thank you all for reading my blog,
leaving me comments and encouraging me on this creative journey,
for your friendship that has often extended beyond the internet
and a special thank you to those who have bought my furniture.

It's been a wonderful year.

Here are some glimpses of our Christmas home

home baked Christmas Snowflake Cookies

all bundled up to take to my aunt's for Christmas lunch.

Mince tarts my husband has just whipped up while I've been writing this post! That man is AMAZING!

our beautiful nativity. I love it's muted colours.

The kids have laid out their Christmas pillow cases already. In Australia, we grew up not hanging stockings as most houses don't have fireplaces. Instead kids leave a special pillow case on the end of their beds.

the tree is looking laden!

and I found this on my son's pillow case that my kids had written. In case Santa wasn't sure about my boy's behaviour!

Now enough of being on the internet, let's all get off the blogs and back to our families!
Have a lovely happy day tomorrow.

  2. I have just found your blog. Scrolled through the page and I love it. You seem like a fabulous baker. Do you know I've never even had a macaroon let alone made one but I too love to bake and have often thought about making them. I am a complete Francophile...although without ever having tasted one, I guest I can't really claim that. I've never had a Tim Tam either come to think of it!!!!! How did you think to leave the egg whites on the bench for 2-3 days. Wouldn't they spoil in the Sydney climate. Obviously not, as they look superb.. I guess the cooking gets rid of any potential problems.

I am coming to you from the Northern Beaches of Sydney. I am following you now and would love it if you would do the same.

  11. Every year, it’s the same thing, the build-up to Christmas is really something! There is much to be done from putting up the tree, to making cakes or other sweet dishes. What I enjoy the most is preparing holiday-themed hot chocolate. This contains rich and decadent cocoa powder that excites the palate after a long winter day. Besides it is a perfect opportunity to include all in the kitchen as we bake lovely cookies and other festive delights to gift to our loved ones!
