I recently bought a gorgeous carved cabinet that I'm still working on. It had a hutch on the top that I initially thought of turning into a book case but it needed a lot of work and so instead I decided to use the side panels as the backing for a coat rack / wall hooks.
I love how they have turned out - very French style I think. The details of the carvings are just lovely.
How beautiful is the wisteria that is draping over our fence. It's only started to bloom and is going to be much thicker soon. The promise of an abundant springtime.
The coat hooks are for sale if you are interested. Dimensions are 73cm by 23cm. Solid timber with two sturdy double hooks. Please email me if you are interested.
Have a lovely weekend

they look great Fiona, and that wisteria is lovely. We had a purple and a white one at one of our homes in NZ, but it only flowered for about two weeks in late October before the Canterbury nor-westers blew all the petals off :( Bit different here!
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! I saw on insta and loved those details!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the coat hooks - beautiful job and great imagination for lovely detailed pieces. I had Wisteria in NZ and I miss it! I'm thinking of getting one for my home here in Qld but wonder if the humidity might be too much - will have to look it up. I've seen them coming into bloom nearby - gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty blue paint color and I love the wisteria! I miss mine in my front yard. They are gone for the year since it's almost fall here.
ReplyDeleteI love the Wisteria(You have got to love spring) and the coat hooks are hot as well. What colour blue are they

DeleteHi Fiona!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I came over and checked out your blog! I'm actually in the middle of sanding down some of the stain on my farmhouse table and wanted to give it a lime wax finish, I tried whitewash but wasn't pleased with the look. I will DEFINITELY be giving this a go! Thanks!
oh that's great Brandi -love to hear how you get on. make sure you let me know!
