Have you seen the hilarious blog of Victoria Elizabeth Barnes? She has a major obsession for shiny objects and her blog has gone viral this weekend with her quest for finding more enormous gilt mirrors. You have to check her blog out as she will have you laughing out loud in no time.
Isn't her entryway and lounge room beautiful! So light and airy - two massive mirrors will do that. Her whole blog is so funny and her renovation of a 1980 Victorian house is a big undertaking. Today I'm sharing a slightly smaller gilt ornate mirror. Actually it looks positively tiny underneath Victoria's photo above, but it's actually quite big (100cm by 130cm) and is so ornate even with some fleur de lis. The mirror has a bevelled edge.
So if you share Victoria's obsession with gilt mirrors you can buy this (email me for details lilyfieldlife@bigpond.com).
Look at the beautiful Fleur de lis. My daughter said "look Mummy it's your symbol!"
If it doesn't sell, I will happily keep it and possibly paint it white. I am selling this at a great price as I bought it on request of a friend, who has been asking me for ages to keep my eyes out for a very ornate huge mirror. I would show her ones and each time it was no, not ornate enough. Finally I showed her this one and bingo it's ornate enough but once I bought it at auction and brought it home ... it wasn't big enough. Bummer ... anyway it's gorgeous and I' sure somebody will want it.
Let me know if it's you who wants a little ornate sparkle shiny-ness in your life.
