At home and latest pieces

Good morning you lovely people, on this grey old Sydney day. It's the last week of winter and it could not have come too quickly. I hope you all had a good weekend. How beautiful was Saturday? We had all the doors and windows open and a little breeze flowing through the house but wow that sunshine felt good. Just a teaser to let us know that summer is coming. Hang in there :)

We had a lot of sport on Saturday with netball finals (the girls won which was fantastic as it's the first time they have even been in the finals and the team has worked so hard at improving, especially this year) and then, straight after and luckily nearby, we had an AFL Gala day where the boys won 5 out of 5 games and are on their way to the finals also.

These photos really capture my kids' personalities. The quiet achiever and the exuberant boy. Both very happy kids. Proud parents.

Saturday night the kids had a sleep over at their cousins, playing monopoly till late and making memories. We had dinner at a local pub with friends although it ended up being an early night as our friend was doing a 14km fun run on Sunday morning and Phil is training for a half marathon and ran 18km yesterday. Still it was good to be out, relaxed and laughing with friends.

Last week I painted several large pieces of furniture that I'll go into more detail this week. I had so much positive feedback on the French blue lime washed sideboard so I'll do an individual post on that tomorrow. I was very happy with how it turned out and I am looking forward to delivering it to my client on Wednesday.

Today I'm finishing up a few pieces, starting a few more and picking up a French commode that I'm looking forward to painting. Hope you have a great day.

Yours in all things home.

  2. I was laughing at your dog as it looks like it is wearing a wig! I love the furniture pieces! When you were talking about weather I realized you are not here (USA). we are in summer, HOT summer weather here and fire dangers are high. Several fires in the Pacific NW (Oregon and Washington).

  4. Home improvement projects can also involve expanding living spaces. Homeowners may choose to add room additions, convert attics or basements into livable areas, or build additional structures like garages or sheds. These expansions allow for increased functionality and space utilization.การ์ดแต่งงาน

  5. Picture frames evolved to reflect changing artistic and design movements. The Renaissance period saw frames becoming more restrained, with a focus on harmonizing the frame with the artwork. In contrast, the Baroque and Rococo eras embraced extravagant and flamboyant frames that emphasized opulence and grandeur.Architectural Moulding
