Yosemite photos with snow

Last year we had an amazing holiday in the US, travelling around in a RV. We had an fabulous time travelling mainly around national parks (and Disneyland) and we met so many nice Americans. I thought I'd share some of my favourite photos from the trip. Today the ones from Yosemite which was my favourite place we went to. I've wanted to go for years and we were so lucky as there was a late fall of snow which made everything magical.

Our itinerary was:
  • flew into LA and overnighted only - I've spent months in LA years ago so didn't need to stay there this time.
  • Grand Canyon
  • Arches National Park (via Monument Valley, Blanding and Moab)
  • Bryce Canyon
  • Zion National Park
  • Las Vegas
  • Highway 1 - Cambria/San Simeon, Big Sur, Carmel
  • Yosemite National park
  • San Francisco
  • Santa Barbara
  • Disneyland
A lot of driving in between but we did some amazing hiking and had a great time.  Living in the RV for the month was fabulous. We rented the Apollo Sunrise Escape which was very spacious and comfortable - and powerful to drive.

I'll share some more photos over the next few weeks.

cheers
Fiona

  2. Hey there, your pics look amazing - you lucky thing! You're home is looking pretty special too. In fact I hope you'll share with me where you got your Brodware fittings for your bathroom at 20% off - doing two bathrooms at the moment (and each have double vanities!) so savings do add up! Hope you're willing to share! I'm in Sydney also!
Keep up the gr8 work with your blog!

  3. hi Marita - i'm not sure how to send you a private message and can't seem to find your blog. so i'm just answering here and hope you see it. I bought a lot of bathroom fittings from Justbathroomware in Drummoyne (i think $3500 in total or something like that - the bath, all tapware including the kitchen tap and the toilet) from them. I also had done a lot of shopping around so knew the exact cheapest prices i could get (good negotiation basics) so they applied a 20% discount to everything I bought. Ask for Dan. Can you comment back so I know you've seen this. cheers Fiona
