I've just finished my first piece painted after the Christmas break - something very simple and pretty. I thought about doing a more elaborate design on this chest of drawers such as a highlighted white trim or a damask design but in the end once I had teamed it with crystal handles I felt that the plain putty colour was enough.
What do you think?
Pretty french vintage style, a beautiful neutral colour and crystal knobs. I don't think you can go wrong with that combination.
and the before...was very red and dated.
Paint makes such a difference doesn't it?

very pretty Fiona. This piece matches a headboard and bedside i painted Greek Blue for my daughters room, right down to the shiny red lacquer in the before shot!

DeleteI agree, it's just perfect the way it is. The pretty crystal handles give it exactly the right amount of sparkle. I'm about to start my first piece using ASCP. I've restored and French polished many pieces if furniture, but never actually painted anything before. I can't wait to start!
