NYE and faux marble table in situ

Welcome 2014 and Happy New Year!!

We had a lovely evening in Adelaide last night. It's so peaceful here. We wandered down to the beach and swam as the sunset. The water was very tranquil.

I just loved the peacefulness and the soft light. The sky was like a painting. I wish it could paint scenes like this - I'd need much, much more practice. But evenings like this make you want to try to paint don't they?

We then watched the fireworks from on the sand.  It was beautiful to be close to the action and to see the fireworks over the beach . Nothing like Sydney's spectacular but so convenient and uncrowded.

After the fireworks, Phil suggested that we go listen to the free band but I got all "mother-y" and worried about mosh pits and crowds and losing the kids but when we went it was all very civilised and we managed to walk right to the front. It was a great band playing lots of 80's Aussie rock. I could have stayed all night.

I thought you might like to see the faux marble table that I recently painted now assembled back in Carolyn's house. She said she and her husband are really pleased with my painting and how it turned out.  Relieved!!

I love seeing where my painted furniture ends up! Carolyn has a beautiful home doesn't she,

Wishing you all a wonderful 2014.
Love Fiona xx
