A Country Weekend - Burrawang

We had a great long weekend down in the Southern Highlands. Friends of ours have built a house on a lovely block just on the edge of a sweet little village, Burrawang. The weather was lovely for Saturday and Sunday but today it rained and was all foggy - just beautiful actually. Especially when I was sitting inside by the fire with my book!

This is the old school house. It's now a residence and just been renovated. Totally gorgeous.

We spent an afternoon wandering around the little village peaking over fences at the divine houses!  We also had a couple of hours wandering around the furniture and antiques shops of Moss Vale and Bowral. I didn't buy anything but was very tempted by a few things.

This views below are from our friends' house.
So lovely over a little valley.

I love my family! It's so good to go away for the weekend with them.

And I had to share these amazing lights my friend has used in her house. She has 4 of them down one the lounge, kitchen and dining area. Aren't they amazing!

And then I came home to find that Lilyfield Life has been featured at Centsational Girl's Best of The Blogosphere. What an honour. I love Kate's blog so that topped off a great weekend!

Hope you all had a good weekend also!
cheers
Fiona
