French Style Coat Hooks

French wall coat rack hooks by Lilyfield Life

I recently bought a gorgeous carved cabinet that I'm still working on. It had a hutch on the top that I initially thought of turning into a book case but it needed a lot of work and so instead I decided to use the side panels as the backing for a coat rack / wall hooks.

I love how they have turned out - very French style I think. The details of the carvings are just lovely.

How beautiful is the wisteria that is draping over our fence. It's only started to bloom and is going to be much thicker soon. The promise of an abundant springtime.

  3. they look great Fiona, and that wisteria is lovely. We had a purple and a white one at one of our homes in NZ, but it only flowered for about two weeks in late October before the Canterbury nor-westers blew all the petals off :( Bit different here!

  5. LOVE the coat hooks - beautiful job and great imagination for lovely detailed pieces. I had Wisteria in NZ and I miss it! I'm thinking of getting one for my home here in Qld but wonder if the humidity might be too much - will have to look it up. I've seen them coming into bloom nearby - gorgeous!

  6. That is such a pretty blue paint color and I love the wisteria! I miss mine in my front yard. They are gone for the year since it's almost fall here.

  9. Hi Fiona!
I'm glad I came over and checked out your blog! I'm actually in the middle of sanding down some of the stain on my farmhouse table and wanted to give it a lime wax finish, I tried whitewash but wasn't pleased with the look. I will DEFINITELY be giving this a go! Thanks!
