Country At Home magazine feature for Lilyfield Life

When we went to Brisbane the weekend before last I flew up a day earlier than he did so at the airport I bought a magazine (which I rarely do) for the flight. i ended up not reading it on the flight and then over the weekend I lay by my friends with the magazine next to me but my friend and I ended up chatting so once again the magazine remained unopened. It wasn't until last Tuesday I sat on the couch after dinner to finally read my magazine. Imagine my surprise when I open up the contents page and there's an article on our house and my painted furniture!! Hilarious and totally unexpected!

It's pretty much the same article and photos that Country Home Ideas ran about 18 months ago so I think they don't contact you for subsequent uses of the article. The first time the publishers notify you and also sent a year's subscription to me. Anyway I am just pleased for the publicity for my furniture business.

So much has changed in our house since these photos were taken - the hall cupboard above is the same but Jennifer bought the chalkboard. Linda has the coffee table below. I can't remember who bought the white cupboard and I have a new french toile sofa.

The dining room is pretty much unchanged. Although the upholstery on our chairs is much much more dirty and are overdue for new fabric. The little terracotta galung on the sideboard has been painted white.

We've also painted our bedroom since the original article  - it's now Dulux Sleigh in half strength and not this pale blue.

Maybe they need to come and photograph the house again! :)
It's always a thrill to see your work in glossy print.
Thanks Country at Home for the feature.

If you would like to read the original article you can find details here.
