My much awaited pineapple lamps have arrived. I took my mum to my friend Patricia's beautiful shop "Themes" in Haberfield this morning to pick them up. I couldn't wait to get them home but first I had to treat Mum to lunch at a gorgeous little Italian cafe for spinach arancini and a trip to drool-worthy Paesanella's cheese shop, then home to set up the lamps.
I think they best suit sitting on my French sideboard in the dining room.
Here's the whole dining room that is open to the kitchen (divided by a kitchen peninsula)
I'm loving how it looks all together.
See the clock that looks like an old fashioned fob watch? My mum saw this in Patricia's shop (it's Villa Maison) and just fell in love with it so I splurged it for her for Mother's Day. It's so nice to have my Mum visiting and to be able to spoil her!
The kids are loving having Grandma here to read stories to them and play games with. Check out my animated little boy and my cool calm collected girl. This photo really shows their personalities.
So it's finally coming together -still on the "to-do list" is stripping the table and refinishing it but it's under that lovely tablecloth for the moment. Some day....
I'll be writing a post with photos on Patricia's shop soon but if you are near the Inner West of Sydney and looking for something special for your home or as a gift then head her way. Not only is her shop filled with divine goodies but she is one of the most lovely women you could meet. Visit Themes at Shop 12/191 Ramsay Street in Haberfield. Phone Patricia on 02 9798 0596.
