White Dresser or Desk?

I recently posted about a desk that I had painted white with fleur de lis detail on the doors. It hasn't sold on eBay so I thought I'd put the mirror back on and sell it as a dressing table (which it was originally).  I only had it listed for one week which isn't long but I need to make room in my house!

...I miss having my furniture booth.

Anyway back to the dressing table/desk. This is a beautiful piece of cedar furniture. There are 7 drawers (6 behind cupboards doors) that all slide easily and are well made with dovetailed joints.  It's got an extremely lovely shaped mirror - bevelled edges and in beautiful condition. This dressing table would make a lovely addition to a little girls room or for that shabby chic look.

beautiful carved detail on the central curved drawer

I bought the beautiful French pot from Sandy at Paint Me White. I have had about 8 people ask to buy this when they come to the house to pick up furniture but I love it so much, it will never be for sale.

Check out the beautiful shape of the dressing table top.

great storage for all your pieces
and really cute feet!

So which do you prefer - a desk or dresser?

Dresser

Take the mirror off for a desk!
cheers
Fiona

    1. Hi Desiree,
So glad you are following along. You really have the most amazing style. I’ve been catching up on your news last night – you sold your house in Utah! Are you sad to have left. Where are you now –somewhere on the California coast it seems? Can you send me some links from your blog of posts of your current house? I couldn’t find them. If you don’t mind me asking why did you move?
Sorry for so many questions I’m just glad to have found you again. You were literally one of the first blogs I used to look at (before I even had a blog)
      Cheers Fiona

  7. I am not sure which way I like it better. They both look nice. I suppose the mirror does add that something extra.

    Have a nice weekend.
